Many people are anxious about even calling to ask questions or book a free assessment. To help you with this process, here is our simple step-by-step guide to admissions at The Providence Projects private rehabilitation centres.
‘First Contact’ at our Private Rehabilitation Centres
The first step is an assessment of your needs. We will get to know you and your history with substances. This helps us to tailor a personalised treatment plan for you. We will then arrange admission for you into the programme.
Telephone Assessment
The Providence Projects offer a free comprehensive assessment to all prospective clients. The purpose of assessment is twofold. It is our opportunity to find out more about you, your problem and your current situation. From the information provided in the assessment, we can ascertain that we are able to meet your requirements. It is also your opportunity to ask us any further questions you have so that you can be sure that we are the right private rehabilitation centre for you.
Assessments can be carried out immediately and can be conducted either face-to-face or on the telephone. The assessment process usually takes around 40 minutes and if appropriate, admission can be arranged as soon as the assessment is completed.
Many prospective clients choose to conduct the assessment on the telephone to save time and travel. If you come to the centre for the assessment, we will also give you a tour of the Providence Projects.
During the assessment, we would look to gather information on your alcohol and/or substance misuse history, your current social situation, your family history, your physical health, your mental health, any previous rehab experiences and most importantly what you want from treatment. Our assessor is also there to answer any questions you have about the rehab programme works, what you can expect and any questions you have about rehab.
What Happens at the End of the Telephone Assessment?
At the end of the assessment, there are two possible outcomes. Hopefully, you will be suitable for treatment at The Providence Projects, and it will be the rehab facility you choose. If that is the case, we will simply arrange an admission date which is suitable for you. Unfortunately, in some instances, we may not be the best rehab centre for you. If this is the case, we will be able to recommend other programmes which might be more suitable.
Once the assessment has been completed, both the medical and therapy team will look at the information you have provided and call you back immediately with an outcome. If, for any reason, we are unable to accept you, we will make alternative recommendations. However, on the basis that the assessment went well, we then look to arrange an admission date that is suitable for you.

Immediate Rehab Admission to our Private Rehabilitation Centres
In certain cases, and due to the nature of addiction, families are in crisis and want immediate admissions. At The Providence Projects, we fully understand and can facilitate immediate admissions for treatment. In other cases, potential clients have to tie up loose ends, finish a job, or arrange childcare before joining us. In these instances, we are happy to reserve you a space.
Once you have completed your assessment, our admission teams will email you with full details of your admission including your expected time of arrival, what to bring and what to expect.

On the day of admission, most people are very nervous about coming to a new place, with people they don’t know and not knowing entirely what to expect. Please rest assured that we understand what that feels like and you will be made to feel at ease very quickly. In fact, by the end of the stay, most people don’t want to leave!
