Cocaine Rehabilitation
If you or someone you love has an active cocaine addiction, it is very important that you seek treatment as soon as possible. Cocaine can be extremely dangerous when abused, and due to its potent and short lived effects on the brain, cocaine is a very difficult substance to quit once dependence takes a hold.
Here at the Providence Projects, we have been helping clients break-free from the cycle of cocaine dependence for over 25 years. With the help of our experienced addiction counsellors, designed an holistic treatment programme that is built around the individual.
We do this through a combination of cocaine detoxification and therapeutic interventions, both for the individual and their families, so that they can start to heal collectively from the pain of addiction. Addiction recovery is a long-term process, and in conjunction with our drug addiction treatment programme, clients will also benefit from aftercare and relapse prevention programmes.
Getting Help for Cocaine Addiction
Cocaine, also known as coke, Charlie or sniff, is one of the most addictive substances known to man. Due to the subtle nature of cocaine addiction, the user is often convinced that they are in control and that they can stop when they need to.
Cocaine gives the user an intense high at first, and individuals report feeling more confident and energetic whilst under the influence. Cocaine is often used in conjunction with alcohol for it’s additional effects. Cocaine is often taken at pubs or parties for these reasons.
What starts as a bit of fun on the weekends, quickly exasperates into a daily routine of dependence and withdrawal. Due to the rapid tolerance levels associated with cocaine abuse, individuals may quickly find themselves using more and more cocaine to achieve the same effect. One line of cocaine becomes a packet of cocaine, and eventually one packet perpetuates into more.
The physical and psychological dependence created by cocaine makes it difficult to achieve sobriety without first seeking treatment at a private residential rehab, away from temptations and triggers. Our trained counsellors are here to support you and your loved ones during these early stages of recovery, so please reach out if you have any questions or concerns about treatment.
I Got Help
Steven & Kelly's Cocaine Recovery Story
Steven came to us for help after a long battle with cocaine addiction. He wanted to better himself, and improve his relationships with his kids and soon-to-be wife Kelly.
Steven opens up about his battle with cocaine and the devastating impact it had on his physical and mental well-being, before the Providence Projects helped him to transform his life.
How we Treat Cocaine Addiction
Before committing to rehab, it’s important that you or a loved one fully understand and accept that a problem exists. If you have come to terms with the difficulties around cocaine abuse, then the first hurdle has already been overcome.
The next step towards recovery starts with a telephone assessment with our trained addiction counsellors, many of whom are in recovery themselves and completely understand your current situation. They are here to hold your hand through the process and prepare you for treatment. It is perfectly normal to feel apprehensive about rehab and you may feel life isn’t worth living without cocaine, we encourage you to watch our client success stories to understand that real change is possible.
Our counsellors will ask you some questions about your cocaine use and mental health history, along with any medications you are currently taking. This is important and will help us to determine the best course of action for you. If you suffer from mental health problems, our therapeutic team will need to consider this as part of your therapy programme. Conditions such as depression or anxiety will need to be treated concurrently, this is also known as dual diagnosis treatment.
Along with your assessment, a date will be agreed to attend rehab for your initial 28-day programme. If you are concerned about arriving at our centre, or have concerns that a loved one may not attend on the day, we can arrange sober transportation from home to our rehab facility.

rehabilitation & aftercare
When you arrive at our treatment centre you will be greeted by our recovery team. They will help you to feel settled by showing you around the facility and introduce you to your private bedroom. For the next few weeks, this will be your new home whilst you undergo addiction treatment.
Before the programme begins, you will be assessed by our in-house GP who will perform a medical examination. This is to ensure your safety during the cocaine withdrawal process.
Once our team are happy with the results of the examination, a treatment programme timetable will be provided that details the various activities for the week ahead.
The programme will consist of both individual and group therapies, addiction workshops, fun activities and meal times.
