Some clients arrive for treatment full of emotion and ready to open up. Others feel emotionally blocked and find it difficult to express their thoughts and feelings.
We have found that music therapy sessions can be a great way for people to explore difficult issues through the use of music.
Music therapy will often involve you completing a questionnaire about a song which is particularly meaningful to you and the reasons why. We will then ask you to listen to this song with your group and process thoughts and feelings. On many occasions, this has helped people start to overcome blocks which have previously held them back.
