It has been proven that exercise is an important part of early recovery. It can be part of a package which helps people overcome depression, feel better about themselves and improve their general wellbeing.
At The Providence Projects, we will have regular walks along the beach front as part of this approach and for those who would like more intense exercise we provide Boxercise classes. These are not compulsory but provided as part of the rehab programme.
Boxercise is essentially a combination of aerobics with some basic boxing skills and can be a great release. Suzy, our boxercise instructor has a bit of a mean reputation so come prepared!
