You will be collected from your home in Bedfordshire and brought to Providence Projects to complete treatment.

Arriving for Treatment from Bedfordshire

As you walk through our doors, you will be greeted by our dedicated counselling team who will guide you through an induction, introduce you to our support staff, other residents and show you to your private room. Our Medical Team will go through the treatment programme, discuss any areas that you would like to concentrate on as well as the treatment options available and make any adjustments to tailor your recovery plan.

A GP will conduct a medical assessment, check your general health, any particular needs during your stay, current medications, and determine if a detox is necessary and what, if any, medications will be required. Once all the check-in processes are complete, you will be ready to commence your programme, starting with a Detox programme, if required, that is medically assisted, supervised and monitored by our GP.

Treatment Programme

Primary treatment can last between 4 and 12 weeks depending on your personal needs, you will have a structured timetable detailing each day’s activities to help provide stability and routine.

Every activity and therapy style has been developed around a need to address the underlying issues contributing to your addiction, and are evidence-based to help tackle stress, anger, social skills to help form healthy relationships.

One-to-one Counselling

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy -is the main behavioural counselling method we use at the Providence Project. It is a proven, tested method of reestablishing your connection with your internal world and how to express yourself externally.

Alternative Therapies

Holistic therapies, such as Music Therapy, which will assist you in rediscovering the beneficial properties of creative thought processes and relaxation.

Group Therapy and 12 Step Programmes.

Group Therapy – also helps show that you are not alone and the support found in these sessions can form friendships that last years.

Relapse Prevention Programme

Relapse Prevention for when you reintegrate back into your life in Bedfordshire. Workshops to give you more information about your addiction and long term recovery skills.

Outpatient Services in Bedfordshire
