Arriving for Treatment from Cambridgeshire
When you arrive at our centre, you will be greeted by the counselling team who will check all the information they have gathered from your initial assessment and markdown any changes that may affect your treatment plan, complete any paperwork, address your concerns and answer any questions you have before treatment commences.
A medical assessment will be done to check your general health, current medications, any medications that may be needed to ease your withdrawal if detox is required. A medically-assisted drug and alcohol detox programme is offered as part of the rehab programme and will be monitored closely by our in-house GP and supervised 24/7 by the support staff to ensure you are safe throughout the detox process.

One-on-one counselling is an essential part of the residential treatment process at The Providence Project.

Alternative therapies include a number of non-traditional therapies which we use in our addiction treatment programme.
Group Therapy and 12 Step Programmes.
Our group therapies are both 12-step-based and non-12-step. We believe in the positive outcomes of learning to share and mutual support.
Relapse Prevention Programme
With our aftercare programme, we make sure that your relapse-prevention efforts are healthily transferred from your time in residential rehab into everyday life and ongoing recovery.
Our counselling style is backed by years of experience and proven effectiveness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, 12 Step and relapse prevention has proven to be an integral part of our combination treatment approach and fit seamlessly into a continued recovery plan after your stay has ended.
A therapist will provide a safe place for you to explore issues such as trauma, childhood problems, family issues, abuse, shame, anger and stress and guide you towards learning skills to address and deal with these issues all while conquering the main issue of addiction.

Preventing an Alcohol/Drug Relapse in Cambridgeshire
