Arriving for Treatment from Essex

Your stay with us will start with a warm welcome from our counselling team. As you are guided through the induction to our centre, our team will introduce you to the other residents and show you to your private room.

Before treatment begins, our medical team will discuss the options available to you for treatment and design a treatment programme around you as an individual. They will discuss your goals during rehab and familiarise you with the programme.

A medical assessment will need to be carried out by our in-house GP, to check your general health, discuss any medications that are currently prescribed and assess your drug or alcohol dependence. Our GP may provide detox medication to help reduce difficult withdrawal symptoms that may arise, this is known as a medically-assisted detox programme.

Some clients require a medically-assisted drug or alcohol detox before rehab therapy can begin. Detox can feel uncomfortable, but our team of medical professionals will ensure that you or your loved one are kept safe during the detox phase. All detox programmes provided at The Providence Projects, are managed by highly skilled healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure safety.
