Rehab Reviews & Success Stories

Public Health Wales released the annual report for 2019-20 and revealed that, during the pandemic, most admissions were lower than for 2018-19. However, these statistics do not account for the pandemic’s effect on those seeking addiction help.
While hospitals were working on the virus, psychiatric admissions for alcohol-specific conditions rose by 5.5% and by 16.8% for illicit drugs.
We don’t believe in statistics; we believe in the human strength to improve, heal and become a better version of themself. This is why we are here for you.
Our team of dedicated addiction specialists, doctors, nurses, therapists and counsellors will help you assess your situation and condition and choose the ideal treatment method for your situation.

Sober Transportation from Wales to The Providence Projects

Many patients have fears about rehab so we have designed our Sober Transportation service to give you and your loved ones peace of mind that your journey will be comfortable and that you will arrive safely to be admitted into our rehab centre.

Someone in recovery will look after you and give you support on your journey and arrival.

Arriving for Treatment from Wales

Our friendly team will welcome you to the centre, introduce you to other clients and show you the room you’ll be staying in. Your state of health and wellness will be assessed by our general practitioner.

This is an important opportunity to raise any concerns, tell us your medical history and find out about any medications you might need for detox. After the induction is done we will liaise with you to create an individual care plan that integrates the therapies, workshops and activities that are part of your programme.

The programme timetable will be given to you, so you know what to expect every day as part of your treatment package.

Alcohol Detox

Our Drug and Alcohol Addiction Rehab Programmes

Our rehab programme has two primary intentions: to find and heal the psychological causes of your dependency and to develop the coping strategies you need for long term sobriety. Developing an individual care plan is a collaboration between yourself and our support team. You will have our full support as you set goals for your future and work on the underlying factors through therapy.

Our addiction treatment programme comprises of:

One-to-one Counselling

One-to-one sessions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. A qualified professional therapist will help you unpack the issues that have influenced your dependency. The therapist will collaborate with you to heal the traumas, abuse, childhood experiences and relationship problems that have played a role in your addiction.

Alternative Therapies

Alternative therapies like music therapy, art therapy, acupuncture and sports therapy that are fun and facilitate relaxation and fulfilment.

Group Therapy and 12 Step Programmes.

Therapy delivered through group sessions is an invaluable part of recovery, which provides you with a social structure and companionship.

Relapse Prevention Programme

Workshops to help you build coping skills and set goals for your sober future. Common topics explored during workshops include relationships, stress management, relapse prevention, confidence, health, boundaries and anger.

Preventing an Alcohol/Drug Relapse in Wales

Our Relapse Prevention programme is there to support you through the reintegration stage when you go home and confront potential triggers in your new environment by giving you the tools to deal with high-risk situations and making the transition smoother. We offer various aftercare services to assist your long term sobriety when you leave the rehab centre. We will create an aftercare program that supports your long term recovery & personal needs. Close to the end of your primary treatment program, our therapeutic team will discuss your options for aftercare services with you.

Sober Coaching & Recovery Coaching in Wales

A four-week programme has its limits in terms of what can be learnt and achieved, so the Sober Coaching service we offer is designed to give you extended support in your home environment. People in recovery facilitate sober coaching because they understand the challenges you will experience.

The role of your Sober Coach is to hear your concerns in order to help you confront early recovery’s common triggers, and to give you practical advice that supports long term recovery. Because you have the necessary coping skills to achieve your life goals, your integration back into home life is much more manageable.

Drug & Alcohol Addiction Support for Families in Wales

At the Providence Projects we appreciate all opportunities to include your family into your treatment plan, because they really can support your long term sobriety.

The process of healing and moving on can be started when we acknowledge the damage that has been done and how dependencies have affected each family member as an individual.

During family therapy sessions you will learn how to address communication issues between family members so that everyone can move on. (Famanon)
