Daryle Fortescue is Deputy Manager at The Providence Projects, bringing 25 years of experience working in the field of addiction across a range of clinical and management roles. His career has included positions as a counsellor, Team Leader and Registered Manager, giving him extensive experience across all stages of addiction treatment and recovery.
Daryle previously spent four years as a counsellor at StreetScene, where he facilitated workshops and group therapy, worked closely with stakeholders and supported clients across primary treatment, secondary treatment and aftercare. He has also been part of The Providence Projects for more than 20 years, progressing through roles as a counsellor, Team Leader and Registered Manager.
In his current role, Daryle supports the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the service and contributes across the wider treatment programme, drawing on his extensive experience to support both staff and clients.
He holds CPCAB Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 qualifications in counselling, including an Advanced Diploma in Counselling. He has also completed specialist training through Clouds and Bath, including modules covering family therapy, management and stakeholder engagement.
Daryle is passionate about individualised treatment planning and believes that effective recovery should never follow a one-size-fits-all approach. He is committed to ensuring treatment at The Providence Projects continues to develop alongside the latest evidence-based practices, while encouraging clients to engage with community-based support, including 12-step recovery groups. He is particularly focused on promoting independence and helping clients develop the confidence and skills to make positive, lasting changes in their lives.
Outside of work, Daryle is passionate about travel and enjoys learning about different cultures, values and ways of life.
